Hello and welcome to the Blue Dog Blog!
This is a weekly blog around the world of the BP’s and our business Hydro-Pet and anything else I fancy adding to be honest.
Today’s highlight is our lovely Lab Joedy.
She is from Waikato Pound pups. We agreed some time ago that our business would contribute to the community and so we are working with the pound with any dogs that need hydro-therapy or overweight dogs that need to lose a few pounds to help them find their new “forever home”
Joedy comes into the second of those categories and needs to lose a few pounds. This is her second week and already we are seeing an improvement.
She already loves coming here and we will see more improvements over the coming weeks. We are still looking for a home for her and she has a lovely nature and would make a great family pet. If you look on the web site, Waikato pound pups you will see her there.
As you can see Lana our Newfoundland was left in charge of the office today while Ann was busy in the pool with customers. Check us out at www.hydro-pet.co.nz

“Milo”

Welcome to The Blue Dog Blog!
Here we are in week 2 and yesterday saw the arrival of “Milo”.
He is a male chocolate lab of only 11 months.
He had a Femoral head & neck excision a few weeks ago ( to us non vet types this is known as hip dysplacia!)
This has not quietened him down however as he arrived in boisterous mood.
Ann had great fun with him through his consultation and still managed to get his measurements and introduce him to the pool area. This was an area he loved and walked round and round sniffing into every corner. We look forward to him coming in on Saturday for his first swim.
Joedy continues to lose weight and now rushes down the drive so excited to be back and can hardly wait to get into the pool. As you know she is from the pound and is still looking for her forever home and would be a wonderful addition to a family looking for a dog, so for those new to the site she is a 5-6 year old yellow lab who is house trained, wonderful with kids and an absolute delight!

We have another yellow lab who comes for relaxation swims. She is a thirteen year old with severe hip dysplacia amongst other problems and she comes along once a week where she gently swims supported by Ann just to stretch her legs a little as walking is extremely difficult for her.
That covers some of our labs, next week I will introduce some interesting German shepherds to you.
